Privacy Policy

Practice Arena (“we”, “us”) helps you rehearse high-stakes conversations — interviews, exams, pitches, negotiations, and more — with an AI coach. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what the product needs to work.

Information we collect

  • Account details. Your name and email address, and a hashed password if you sign up with credentials. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Practice profile. Optional details you provide to tailor sessions — target role, skills, experience level, background, and résumé text.
  • Session content. The questions, your answers, scores, and feedback generated during a practice session, so you can review your progress.
  • Voice input. If you use voice mode, your microphone audio is transcribed to text to run the session. We do not retain raw audio recordings beyond what is needed to produce that transcript.
  • Notification tokens. If you enable notifications, a push subscription or device token so we can send the reminders you asked for.
  • Basic technical data. Standard log and device information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

We use your data to run practice sessions and generate feedback, to maintain your account and history, to send notifications you opt into, and to keep the service secure and reliable. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your practice transcripts to train our own models.

AI processing and third parties

To generate scenarios, scoring, and feedback, your session content is sent to our AI provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) solely to produce your results. We also rely on infrastructure providers for hosting, our database, and notification delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data retention

We keep your account and session history until you delete a session or your account. Transient rate-limiting and operational records are pruned automatically. You can delete individual sessions at any time, or contact us to remove your account and associated data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional features like notifications or voice input. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below. Because the service is available globally, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, always under appropriate safeguards.

Children

Practice Arena is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
